Check the statistics on women’s participation in arbitration

Campaigning to promote the cause, CAM-CCBC has begun to announce the statistics of
its efforts in favor of gender equality. Based on a resolution published in February
2018, the Center officially undertook to promote greater female participation in
arbitration.
According to the document, women should make up at least 30% of the total number
of speakers at events that the Center supports, organizes or sponsors. The same
applies to the formation of research groups, commissions, task forces, committees,
among others. The institution has up to two years to adapt to the new rules and the
data related to gender representativity will be published half-yearly on its website.
“Many groups have already understood the importance of respecting diversity. Studies
and practices show that in addition to bringing greater well-being, it has the power to
boost institutional results”, says Eleonora Coelho, President of CAM-CCBC.
