In recent years, the fintech segment has been growing quite expressively in Brazil. Data from the Inside Fintech Report survey, conducted by Distrito Dataminer, indicate that, in 2020, Brazilian financial startups raised $1.9 billion, which is 72% more than the $1.1 billion recorded in 2019. The law firm David & Athayde Advogados recently contributed to the strengthening of this market by being responsible for the legal advisory on the acquisition of the fintech 4ward to the digital portfolio Bitz of Bradesco group.

With innovative solutions, 4ward adds to Bitz its knowledge in the development of solutions aimed at meeting the needs of the entire chain of means of payment. With this acquisition, Bradesco’s digital portfolio, launched in September last year, now has the capability of expanding its services. Previously, Bitz had already acquired the fintech DinDin.
