Commercial mission helps drink strengthen presence in billionaire market.

CCBC’s first trade mission focused on the most Brazilian of the alcoholic beverages will reach the Canadian market by the end of October. The initiative provides several activities to introduce the beverage and bring the Brazilian producer closer to importers in Canada. One of them is the participation in the Grande Dégustation de Montréal – a fair held for three days, gathering more than 200 beverage producers and 13 thousand visitors from 15 countries.

CCBC’s planning ensures greater visibility to the product, placing the members in contact with shopkeepers, bar and restaurant owners, as well as professionals who work in the direct service to the end consumer, such as bartenders. The mission includes tasting rounds and opens up opportunity for attractive business conditions. There are also exclusive meetings with about 10 agents responsible for brokering the sale of alcoholic beverages in the country.

Billions of dollars in a growing market

Cachaça is part of the strategy for an expanding market. Between 2017 and 2016 alone, imported brands of spirits had a 4.1% growth in sales in Canada. Trade in alcoholic beverages overall increased by 2.3% over the same period, reaching 22.5 billion Canadian dollars (about U$ 17 billion), according to Euromonitor International.

The drink that started its history alongside sugarcane in Brazil and gained premium product status brings together all the conditions to conquer the world.
