Integrating trading company Logistics International Associates – LIA and Daher are looking for partners interested in sharing Brazilian sugar and ethanol production and export business to Canada. The proposal is to expand business in a market that continues on an upward trend and is expected to to expand over the next few years.
According to the 2nd Crop Survey 2020/2021 of the National Supply Company (Conab), the production of sugarcane in Brazil should reach 642.1 million tons. The volume will lead to a record production of 39.3 million tons of sugar, which means a 32% growth compared to the previous harvest. The figure places the country as the world’s largest sugar producer for the second consecutive year. The total production of ethanol in 2020/21 was projected at 30.6 billion liters, with 27.9 billion liters in sugarcane ethanol.
In 2021, Daher estimates to produce 1,200 tons.
