Adapting products to the international market is one of the great challenges of exporting companies. Regardingto the foodindustry, it is crucial to have appropriate packaging: they must not only meet the requirements demanded by the legislation of the country to which it is intended to be sold, but also, they need to provide clear information about the product, which is often unknown to the local consumer.
This was the case with Juçaí, a brand of organic açaí sorbet, produced from the juçara palm tree. Being exported to Canada, since 2019, the product is now available in Toronto and Montreal, with a packaging developed specifically for the Canadian consumer, which contains information in English and French, besides adapting the distinctive characteristics of Juçaí in a way that is more attractive to the local market.
This packaging, created after a testing period and launched on the market in April 2021, allows the brand to be better positioned in the preference of Canada’s major retail chains.
