Promon Engenharia is involved in a highly significant project in the energy transition field: Sigma Lithium’s lithium production plant in the Jequitinhonha Valley, in the municipalities of Araçuaí and Itinga.

The plant, with an annual production capacity of 1.7 million tons, recently commenced operations and Promon Engenharia was involved from the FEED (Front End Engineering Design) phase and subsequently worked on the detailed engineering design as well as the implementation development of the project under the EPCM (Engineering Procurement Construction Management) model. It took 22 months, counting from the kick-off meeting until the project was operational on budget.                                                            

This project was designed based on green technology concepts, considering the use of renewable energy, recycling of water used in operations, the rainwater collection and storage system, and the non-use of chemicals in the process, as well as the storage of waste in dry heaps.                                                                                                                                                                                 

In addition, the most advanced digital construction and management technologies were employed, and it was conducted in a fully integrated way with Sigma and its supplier network.

The specific methodologies developed by Promon Engenharia allowed implementation based on AWP (Advanced Work Packing) techniques and digital engineering, bringing significant gains in terms of efficiency, reliability and execution time, allied to high levels of quality and safety.
