Combining Canada’s leading position in technology with the emerging innovation system, the CCBC offers specific projects to its members through its Technology Commission (TC). In this way, the Chamber monitors the trends of the sector and its potential for business expansion, acting as a body that promotes the exchange of information and the meeting between companies, startups, incubators, accelerators and investors.

One of CCBC’s most important technology and innovation projects was the Connection Bureau – a matchmaking platform between startups, investors, service providers and supporters. Its main purpose was to support the process of internationalization of these businesses, in addition to conducting, through the board of the CCBC, project curatorship and guidance for companies.

The CCBC also promotes periodic events, in which it addresses issues related to technology and innovation. Themes such as cities of the future in Brazil, collaborative innovation, software development and blockchain technology have already been the subject of these meetings. Regarding the latter, the Chamber has the independent Blockchain Task Force, which brings together experts, opinion formers, experts in various fields related to technology and innovation, lawyers and representatives of the financial sector, among others.
